毛蟹

イトーヨーカドーで活きの良い毛蟹を売っていたので、思わず衝動買いしました
KEGANI is a kind of crabs which live in the northan Pacific ocean.
English name is horsehair crab.
I bought a live crab without consideration when I saw it at the market.

普通は塩茹でにしますが、蒸すほうが簡単で同時にスープも作れるので一石二鳥です
Usually we boil crabs but steaming is better way because we can make its soup at the same time.

暴れる蟹を蒸し器に入れます
伊勢海老の場合はこれをやると手足がバラバラになってしまいますが、毛蟹は大丈夫です
I put the moving crab in the hot steamer.
We can not use this way to robsters because they put off their own legs when we put them into hot steamer.
But crabs are OK.
